RTD 51: Mocha Blast

Picked this one up at the gym. I love the idea of a protein drink with energy ingredients because its the best of both worlds when you work out. But someone should do it better than this.

Taste- It has the consistency of glue. It was so hard to swallow especially after it sat for a little. I could not finish it, and when I cant finish a drink (which is very rare) it gets a 1. The taste for pretty bad too, even for a protein shake. That resembled glue too.

RATING-1/10

Buzz- 200 mgs of caffeine ain't bad and you also got an average of 50% RDA of vitamin A,C,D,E,K,B2,B3,B5,B6 and B12. Folic acid, bioten, iron, phosphorus, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum and potassium. 100% calcium and 51 gs protein. So for a nice amount of caffeine, over 20 vitamins and minerals for metabolism and energy support and a nice 51 gs of protein I can give this a decent rating. But it does come at a price, 3.50 a can to be exact, and that's a good price. They can usually be 4 at a health food store.

Archer Farms: Coffee- Mocha

I had been to Target several times recently but never bothered to check for new drinks. Today I thought I better and I was rewarded.. Kind of..

Taste- Don't you love watered down coffee that is the farthest thing from fresh? Me too! NOT! Yeah so that's what this is, taking coffee letting it cool and adding nes-quick and milk is so much more delicious than this crap, you would think it wouldn't be hard to make something better. Bland, boring and artificial.

RATING-3.5/10

Buzz- Cool so they give you the amount of caffeine that's in the coffee itself which is only 65 mgs since its so watered down and they brag about how its vitamin rich with only 25% rda of your b vitamins, vitamin d and c. This will not give you any sort of energy.

Shock:triple mocha

Since Christmas is heading our way I thought it would be a great idea to make a egg nog energy drink, but I don't really have a way to, so some company out there take that idea into consideration.

Taste-Just a blah espresso taste, and with things like coconut oil, corn syrup, sodium caseinate and dipotassium phosphate you can really tell its not all that fancy. Or you could just tell by the can. It doesn't have the bitter taste or awful after taste that a lot of coffee drinks do but it would be on par also with its average mocha flavor. Starbucks style creaminess

RATING-5/10

Buzz-esspresso with added caffeine... HELL YEAH! But not much of an energy drink.

RATING-8/10

Red rain:mocha cappuccino

They used to sell red rain at wall marts all across America, but they decided to be gay and stopped selling red rain and rip it. So I never got a chance to try it. Luckily I got this mocha cappuccino version from Barry in the great white north.

Taste-Oh its one of them fancy carbonated coffees again. These are really good but kind of wierd to drink at the same time. Basically take espresso add sugar and carbonated water and whammo you got this. It tastes better than you would imagine but I would really pay to drink it again because creamy flavored coffee is always better.

RATING-6/10

Buzz-Nothing mind numbing of course. 1000 mgs taurine. 600 mgs glucuronolactone (pretty decent!) 20 mgs pantothenic acid. 35 mgs niacin. 80 mgs inositol. 5 mgs vitB6 and vitB12.

Full throttle:coffee-mocha by Nolan

I accidentally shot this with my airsoft gun, that's why its retarded.

Taste-I find this one to be the strongest flavor of all the mocha's,and by that I don't mean strong coffee its really bitter, and the mocha chocolate flavor just doesn't seem to blend well and its less creamy than any of the others.Worst mocha yet.

RATING-4.5/10

Buzz-Okay?One more milla gram more each of ginseng and taurine, when compared to caramel.

Starbucks:mocha by Nolan

Here is the most boring line of coffee NRG drinks, but i think they were the first to come out with that idea so I give them props for that.

Taste-Just like it says mocha coffee nothing good about it nothing bad.But defiantly the worst mocha of them all.You think starbucks could do a better job.

RATING-6.5/10

Buzz-7 gs protein,4% RDA vit.a,25% RDA vit.c,20% RDA calcium,1% RDA iron,10% RDA vit.d,100% RDA riboflavin, niacin and vit.b6,and 50% RDA vit.b12.pretty basic, well i mean really basic with just vitamins mostly, but i guess you do get some caffeine from the coffee.

Rockstar:roasted-mocha by Nolan

These rockstar roasted and full throttle coffees and starbucks coffees are really boring when compared to the monster Javas.

Taste-Probley has the most mocha flaver that ive ever tasted out of all the mocha flavored NRG drinks. So I liked that.

RATING-8/10

Buzz-Its got the same ol rockstar blend but with double the caffeine,I guess its coming from the coffee.Plus 125 mgs phosphorus,290 mgs potassium,84 mgs calcium, and 3 gs of protein. So this is full of nutrients
