Rockstar: Super Sours - Bubbleberry

THIS is what I want in an energy drink! Liquid candy soda pop not being drank for any reason other than yum. Have you ever seen a bubble gum soda pop before? I know I haven't, but now we have one in energy drink form!

Taste- Maybe I'm a bit too excited but this is just so cool. I can describe the taste in two words "double bubble". Its strict bubble gum to the core. Theres not even a hint of sour, but I think that would ruin it anyway. Bubble gum should not be just gum! But it does say bubbleberry and there is a bit of roxkstar punched mixed in with the bubble gum flavor which yes, makes it even better but its still mainly the double bubble you get in the twist wrappers that are always stale. I cant wait to see more super sours from rockstar.

Buzz- Finally rockstar went out of its comfort zone for once and what did they come up with? A bad ass drink that monster cant even touch. Now for the energy part of this drink. 1000 mgs taurine. 120 mgs caffeine. 25 mgs ginseng, gaurana and l-carnitine and 20 mgs milk thistle with all 4 of your 100% RDA B vitamins. A sad realization I had about a year into reviewing is most drinks dont even contain enough of one good ingredient to do anything. Like none of these matter except taurine and caffeine. So why dont they use more? Because its not worth it to them because nobody would notice and they would loose money. Good drinks like mona vai and verve and many other drinks I cant think of off the top of my head use ingredients with purpose. But you're paying 4 or 5 dollars a can. Cant ever have both taste and touch unfortunately.

Rockstar: Recovery - Tea & Lemonade

These drinks came out of nowhere. I had just seen one picture last week of the bubbleberry one and totally forgot about it and them BAM! I see these at a ghetto ass gas station.

Taste-I believe this is their take on monster rehab's drink so lets see how it compares. The rockstar iced evidently fell through (I don't know why, it was better than this) and this came out. It has more of a tea taste than monsters which can be a good or bad thing because more flavor is always better but not when it tastes like nestea lemon pre mix. You can tell this isn't the real deal and its not as refreshing as monsters rehab. It isn't bad and if you like nestea's powder mix and you always make it with an extra scoop you will love this because it is the same thing in a nutshell. Also this is sugar free of course so I cant give it too much hate.

Buzz-Rockstar always changes it up with their drinks, but its never really ever better. This recovery drink has 1000 mgs taurine compared to 100 in the other drinks. 100 mgs caffeine compared to 80 in the other drinks 120 mgs ginseng compared to 25 in the other drinks and 25 mgs milk thistle. All 4 of your B vitamins Some electrolytes and no prickly pear. Not bad, I'm liking the amount of ginseng, taurine and just the right amount of caffeine for a "sports" energy drink. Still nothing compared to rehabs. Sorry rockstar, no matter how hard you try you will never beat monster.

Rockstar: Xdurance

Merry Christmas everybody! Its not often that Ill get to do a review on Christmas but I found these two new rockstars so that was an awesome early Christmas present for me and you guys can get the reviews for a present from me!

Taste-It tastes powerful and like it works. I Like that about a energy drink, it doesn't have to be that good but just drinking it you know your going to get results. Same with the look of the can. The only taste I could compare it to for an idea would be a really nasty chalky candy like sweet tarts. Most wont like it, but I'm sure they didn't go for flavor on this one. But I personally think its alright, gets worse as you drink though.

Buzz-It comes with three new ingredients for your energy needs. Three branched amino acids called l-valine, l-leucine and l-isoluencine. All these are protein based acids, which makes this another great drink for working out! Leucine stimulates the muscle tissue and the other two basically complete it. Rockstar really knows what they're doing, I hope people realize that when they buy this drink. 1000 mgs taurine, 120 mgs caffine, 25 mgs l-valine, l-leucine and l-isoluencine, green tea and gaurana. Plus 100% B5, B3 and B6.

Rockstar: Hydration - Coconut water

Merry Christmas everybody! Its not often that Ill get to do a review on Christmas but I found these two new rockstars so that was an awesome early Christmas present for me and you guys can get the reviews for a present from me!

Taste-Seeing that pretty can with my favorite color got me very excited and seeing coconut water got me even more excited. But after hearing that sound of a can without carbonated pressure open I was let down in an instant. It should be really refreshing like a taste with barely any sweetener if what that should have gone for but they over did it on the sucrose and it just tastes gross. Like thicker water with fake sugar. But the first second of yummy coconut is what made me keep drinking, and it is real coconut juice with 10% in the can!

Buzz-I will probably buy this often. Not because I like it but because its like the most intriguing drink for me. I mean I love the idea of coconut juice and I'm in love with the can plus I like the hydration energy drinks for working out and I like to keep it unique. Because surely none of my friends will buy this. The blend is lame with only 1000 mgs taurine, 80 mgs caffeine, 50 mgs ginseng and 25 mgs milk thistle and all your b vitamins, it seems they cut out the prickly pear like the other hydration drinks have. But I do give it extra credit for the electrolytes. I wonder why they don't say how much is in them.

Rockstar: roasted - espresso

If Rockstar keeps disappointing me like this i'm going to have to get a monster tattoo instead.

Taste- Well here you have it the worst tasting energy drink in my opinion, and not too long ago we had the best tasting the monster rehab. I know its just me but I have a little issue with spiced flavored alcohol like whiskey or brandy or bourbon or anything in that category, if I have even a little taste of it I will puke. Now this drink tastes like 50% whiskey 40% espresso and 10% milk, it is outright disgusting so I had my friends drink most of it (which was like one sip each). Its no wonder I could never find this drink until it hit big lots.

I probably wouldnt have found this drink for awhile because I didn't know they came out with it until fellow reader "Kevin Energy" informed me on it.

Taste- I was expecting this. Fake orange flavoring just like the grape, maybe not as bad. Stick with the lemonade flavor because its far better than these. This tastes like flat generic watered down pop with baby aspirin taste. Although the more you drink it the better it becomes which is always good.

My favorite company came back again with a new flavor. Will it be the next "cool" drink or be a complete bust???

Taste- Straight up grape cough medicine. Its like they took actual cough syrup and added extra water and fake sweetener. For me if its a grape drink it has to be perfect with no artificial taste and this is one of the farthest drinks from that.

Probably rockstars greatest effort yet. The can is very nice and so is everything else. Best drink from rockstar hands down.

Taste- You would never know it was sugar free, in fact it tastes better than original rockstar in my opinion! You don't get that pucker mouth feeling and it has a nice apple taste to it with a zing. More than likely the best tasting sugar free energy drink ever!

Buzz- Amazingly the twice the caffeine doesn't effect the flavor at all. And ounce for ounce this is rockstars strongest formula yet. 1000 mgs taurine, 250 mgs caffeine, 100 mgs ginseng, 100 mgs arginine, 25 mgs l-caritine, inositol and ginseng. 100% RDA vitamin b3,b5 and b6. 200% rda vitamin b2.

Rockstar:pink

Went to this gas station looking for the new java monster and found these beauties. This new rockstar is obviously for chicks with the nifty added straw, why? Because females think they're special and can have straws so the carbonation doesn't ruin their dainty teeth. And don't forget everything must be pretty and pink in a women's world.

Taste- With the straw 10. Without the straw 8.5. Yes it makes that much of a difference. With the straw it seems like the liquid reaches the back of your tongue and sides so you get a better tasting. When you sip it, it just seems a lot blander. But I love the flavor especially for being completely sugar free. The liquid is pink and so is the flavor, it doesn't have a fruit or berry taste but it still has a "bright" flavor.

To my surprise not only was there the new lemonade rockstar but a remake or there old cola drink that I never got to try! And I'm lucky I got to visit my friend nick in college because they don't sell this where I live. Like my hat?

Taste-Great cola taste that is probably the best cola energy drink ever. Its like jolt but just better. Almost as if you combined Coke and Pepsi. Ever since I had it Ive been craving another.

This new rockstar is sure to grab you're attention with the awesome bright yellow can with the black and red top. I believe I already know what the next rockstar is going to be, Ive heard rumors about a green apple rockstar! So look for that.

Taste-Hardcore lemonade Gatorade style. A little too full bodied and flavorful to be a great thirst quencher but I'm sure you guys will drink this for other reasons. But for only 10 calories this drink kicks some ass!

Buzz-Rockstar went a different rout that I think most other major companies and going to go. Hydration + recovery seems to be at the peek of popularity. Rockstar added some awesome ingredients like prickly pear, n-acetyl cystaline and electrolytes. 20 mgs milk thistle. 25 mgs pickly pear extract and n-acetyl crystaline. 50 mgs ginseng. 80 mgs caffeine. 1000 mgs taurine. 15 mgs vitB12. 2 mgs vitB6. 10 mgs vitB5 and 20 mgs vitB3. Sadly there isnt enough of those great ingredients as there should be.

Man I couldn't find a pic for this one but I here rockstar punched apple is coming out soon!But don't get this or the purple one confused with the juiced version,the only difference is the punched logo from the juiced,many reviewers are skipping this just because it looks so similar.

Taste-Bubble gum again,but with a fake orange fruity taste,Id rather have the gauava,but this could be your cup of tea,its defiantly a new taste and you should defiantly try it if you can find it.

Taste-The lightest of them all cuz its got 50% less sugar and calories,has a nice vanilla taste but its not creamy like it should be its more watery,it would be really nice if it was more creamy.And yeah its really great until the after taste where you can taste alot of that sugar free stuff,but theres not alot in there so i don't know why its like that.

Pomegranate is really good for you,in fact some times i drink pure pomegranate juice sure it tastes bad but I'm doing my body a favor.Some times when you drink healthy or organic energy drinks it gives you double the buzz,take verve for example.

Taste-Ha that's funny i cant remember what it tasted like,it was probley pom. with some citrus or regular rockstar.All i know is that it was alright.

Rockstar,monsters stiffest competition.I did a little poll at my school to see what drink people liked better rockstar or monster 12% said rockstar and 88% said monster.But they are both good in there own ways.

Taste-The only word I can use to describe it is citrusy I don't really know,but I do know its good.

This is one of the best tasting sugar free drinks out there.But it also takes a big chunk out of the energy list.This drink was most likely made for the female species

Taste-Citrusy defiantly citrusy,nice smooth and refreshing and none of the sugar free side affects,you probley couldn't even tell it was sugar free.

Buzz-You got all the b vitamins still and the taurine and the l canitine and double the caffeine.And PLUS 5 mgs of yerba mate(good for hangovers) and you got 100 mgs green tea extract which none of the others have.But NO ginko biloba guarana,inositol or ginseng.
